In 2013 Francesco Meola (actor and writer) and I started working

on a project about our first three months in New York in 2012.

Before we even realized it, it became a script and then

we got booked by the Spazio Tertulliano in Milan for the 2013/2014 Season,

where we performed directed by the very talented Ilaria Ambrogi

After the debut in Europe, "Neighbors" ran in New York at the InScena Festival 2014, and sold out both at The Secret Theatre in LIC and at the Theatre For The New City in East Village.

We just finished a second tour in Italy this past March. These above were all our stops..

Petra and Leonardo meet in New York as neighbors, although they're both from Italy. They "decide" to open their doors to one another and get a closer look into each other's lives. Their life styles are as different as day and night, but they have something very important in common: they are both looking for a home, somebody to go back to and tell the surreal daily adventures that you face when you live in the most roaming city of the world. Through this anti romantic feel-good comedy, you follow their brilliant and sharp dialogues on sex, relationships and life as an artist in the Big Apple.

We like to describe "Neighbors" as a journey into urban adversities, absurd situations and harsh solitudes, experienced by two artists who move to New York City to make everything possible.
